Installation of a WordPress Plugin is very easy. You can install a WordPress plugin in two different ways.
1) Install a WordPress Plugin using WordPress Admin Panel
2) Install a WordPress Plugin using FTP Manager
Plugin installation by using WordPress Admin Panel is the easiest way. The step by step tutorial is as follows:
Step 1: Go to your WordPress admin panel.
Step 2: Click on Plugins:
Now it will show the existing installed plugins.
[If you visit this page for the first time and you have just installed WordPress, don’t be confused by existing plugins; WordPress has some default plugins, which you will see on your first look at this section.]
So you will see a page like this:
Step 3: click Add New
Next you should see a page similar to what appears below:
Now type the WordPress Plugin name that you want to install. For example, let’s say you want to install WordPress Importer for the sake of the rest of the example.
Step 4: Now type WordPress Importer in the search box and then click on the Search Plugins. Now you will see a page like this one:
Click on Install Now
Here a popup window will appear, like this image below:
Step 5: Click OK.
You should see this:
Final step: Click on Activate Plugin
Your Plugin is now installed!
